Amazing
5Love this!! Girl tried it on me in shop took all my makeup off that i had on previously and put this on to match my face with my neck and it stayed on all day even without primer! it feels so light on your face! would highly recommend!

Foundation is incredible but...
5This foundation is incredible. Great coverage, beautiful finish, long-lasting power. Also enjoy the colour range, which is great for MUAs. I usually have several colours of the range and can mix and match. It's really great. The one thing I would say about this is to be cautious. Using it once or twice on a shoot is perfect but I personally used this for several months and found myself with deep cysts on my face. My derm told me to stagger use of the product and once I did, no more acne.

5i purchased skin base after reading a recommendation on the "scouse bird probs" blog. Ive been using a foundation I love but it's not flash photo friendly, and has started to not last as long . What I want from a foundation personally is good coverage, easy to blend and lasts all day- anything else is a bonus! The illamasqua Twitter account very kindly colour matched me by using the shade of foundation of the other brand I have been using , I ordered online using free delivery and my foundation arrived less than 24 hours later! I used the foundation today for the first time, I couldn't believe how good the match was given it was fine via Twitter, the make up went on with virtually no blending and gave a nice natural fresh faced finish. That was 9 hours ago, and I still look the same! And ive been in the rain today too! I used a tiny amount to get a good coverage on my face,so I can see this bottle lasting me ages too! I'm totally converted !

Good coverage but not a great finish
3Everyone's different, of course, but this foundation just didn't work for me. The makeup artist who helped me was great and colour-matched me beautifully. I adored the foundation as soon as it was on, but just 10 minutes later it started to crease and highlighted all these fine lines around my eyes and mouth that I didn't even know I had! It also started to look a bit dry and mask-like, so I went for something else. Loved the service by the team, though.

Illamasqua skin base in 3.5
5amazing! I have had severe acne for ages and I've finally conquered it. So I bought the skin base to see if it will hide my redness and it works! Best thing I've ever bought. Can't believe I've never bought it till now. Worth ever penny. Really good match to my skin and coverage. Amazing.

Amazing multi-use product!
5I initially bought this product as a matte highlighter, as I am put off by sheer highlight products. I'm very very fair skinned and it's very difficult to find a foundation that matches my skin tone perfectly, so I also use SB01 to mix with my current foundation to make it a touch lighter and closer to my natural skin tone. It's perfect for contouring (I combine it with the Skin Base Concealer in White Light, which I apply to my cupid's bow, brow bone and as a way to neaten my brows, and use SB01 for above my cheekbones, down my nose and between my brows, as it is slightly easier to work with and more moisturising). It blends perfectly and gives you amazing coverage and, with primer, powder and a setting spray, stays on all day long with NO touch-ups! I'm tempted to buy another shade that I will be able to use as a foundation if they're able to match my skin tone, and despite being a little pricey, it's definitely worth the expense as it will last you AGES, you barely use anything and it'll go a long long way!

absolutely gorgeous!
5I never take the time to review products but I made a exception today. This foundation is absolutely gorgeous, it takes foundation to another level. I looks amazing, feels great and better yet it looks photo corrected. By far the best foundation I have ever tried and let me tell you I have tried about every foundation out there! Ysl ,lancome, clinique, guerlain, armani, nars ,You name it. Skin base is the supreme foundation!

5I aim to be as pale as possible and have been looking for a quality white foundation for ages, and skin base in white is perfect, great coverage and light feel :)

Comparison
5I rarely change foundations, and before purchasing this with a certain sense of apprehension I used the cream foundation (now discontinued). I've got mixed skin and I found the cream foundation to patch very easily on dry spots - this does not. This has a much lighter feel but needs a bit more work to apply. It works perfectly with my skin tone, but I find it doesn't hold as well as the cream foundation did. It doesn't cover spots and blackheads as well, but on the other hand it is much nicer to my skin and I have a lot less of both spots and blackheads now! All in all it works great with blusher and powder, and looks a lot more natural than my past foundations even though it is a few shades lighter than my skin. I love it, and will definitely be using this in the future!
