Let down
2I'm really disappointed by this product. I have really oily skin, and at first when I applied this product my skin felt like heaven, silky and velvety soft, my make up went on flawlessly and I felt confident and happy. About an hour later my skin was way way more oily than it would have been without this product, and my face has broken out really badly in the areas where this product was applied. Generally my skin is not sensitive and doesn't react like this to any other make up or primer. I may try the matt primer instead and see if that gives better results.

5I purchased Matt Veil nearly 2 weeks ago and so far I am loving it. One of my favourite things to do is read reviews on products.. Sad, I know! But I am a full makeup artist and I really do like this. I always like to test on myself first before commiting to using on clients. I use this after moisturiser, and then use primer after. It really does help keep my face from being over shiney. I sometimes also mix it in with the foundation if I am using a dewy foundation. I love using this with MAC Face and Body. It controls the shine of the foundation but leaves a soft glow! Total love and recommend!! X

Almost perfect, smells a bit
4My new Matte veil arrived Monday. I wanted to, after how quickly Hydra sold, make sure I got in there quick. By lunch-mid afternoon my forehead and nose are distinctly shiny. Matte has a creamy texture completely different to Hydra. Unlike Hydra which works fine over make-up this stuff makes your make-up rub off in flecks so make sure you put it on first. It makes skin VERY matte within seconds. Which in my case made me look very dull. Using this you need to make sure that you apply a creamier blush and a bit of highlighter wouldn't go amiss either. However, it is lunchtime and I'm still as matte as I was at 8am. The smell isn't to mu taste. It isn't awful but it does have an odd fragrance.
