While London Fashion Week is over for most, we’ve still got a little something special up our sleeve. A celebration of art, fashion week is an opportunity to see upcoming trends in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Often including commentary on current events, fashion week AW21 was a statement about the past year with most events taking place virtually.

Our Director of Artistry Pablo Rodriguez designed makeup looks for both Mark Fast and Vivienne Westwood (plus a special, upcoming event – check in on Monday!). With looks inspired by the reflection of light and modern cherubsIllamasqua’s fashion week was full of unique and diverse makeup looks.

To celebrate another successful week of makeup and style, we wanted to highlight the top trends at our fashion week shows. Find the pro must-haves for your fashion week kit whether you’re attending a show or recreating a look at home.

THE TRENDS

TECHNICOLOUR CHERUB

Blending the world of fashion and beauty, Pablo’s creative direction for this look drew inspiration from the bold hues and cherubic theme of Vivienne Westwood’s vintage textiles. Using circular motions and tracing the socket line assisted in achieving the rounded cherubic look.

CHEEKY GOOD BOY

For male models, the looks were much more simple and groomed. Aiming for a clean and minimal approach, male models had groomed faces with a radiant base, achieving a very fresh overall look with minimal product.

A DAME’S ICON

Inspired by Vivienne Westwood’s muse from earlier career days, this look reimagines 80s icon Sarah Stockbridge. With a nod to early Hollywood glamour, Pablo uses a statement lip and eyebrows to achieve a classic look.

QUICKSILVER BLINK

Using the reflection of light and bodies of water as his muse, Pablo combined the metallics featured in the Mark Fast AW21 fashion show with shimmer-inspired makeup. Completing the look with chunky silver glitter along the lash line, this makeup sparkled with every blink.
